Stefan Kraushofer (lead voice, guitars)
Stefan Kraushofer started his musical career while still a teen as lead singer and guitarist in local teen bands. In 1983 on an extended trip to the USA and South America he performed as a soloist in local clubs and bars. Back in Austria in 1984, Stefan’s band Outline was hired for a national tour and performed as opening band for Supermax and Wilfried. Finishing the tour, Stefan concentrated again mainly on his solo career as singer, until 1992 when he joined up with Christian Heinemann and founded Shaka.


Christian Heinemann (guitars, vocals)
In his late teens, Christian started his career playing lead guitar in small bands. In the mid 80’s his band Go Bang won the prestigious western Europan band competition, and later that year started touring with Georgy Red on his European Tour. He joined up with Stefan Kraushofer in 1992 and CO-founded Shaka.



Max Gusenbauer (keyboard, saxophone, vocals)
Max gained his classical musical education and first concert experience at the music high-school and after that at the Brucknerkonservatorium, a well known educational music center in Linz. His interest in jazz and big bands got him into the music business playing with various bands and orchestra, before he started working with the Australian support and studio musicianPaul Baker (Men at Work, INXS, and Icehouse) and his band. With Paul Baker and The End-Formation, he toured in Austria until he got involved in the new formation of Shaka in 1997.

Patrick Hoefler (keyboard, synth. organ, vocals)
Patrick started playing guitar at the very early age of four. After finishing his classical music education as a music teacher, he started his first band named Cariot. In the mid 80's he recording three CD's, got placed in the Top Charts and started touring Europe with other bands and performers such as Bob Geldof, Pretty Maids, and Bonnie Tyler as opening band. In 1998 Patrick left Cariot and joined Shaka.


Nik Wiesmayer (drums)
Nik started his musical career in the regional music high-school, from where he moved after 6 years to the Brucknerkonservatorium a well know educational music center in Linz, Austria. Leaving his classical musical education behind, Nik joins up with several Hip Hop and Rapbands such as Missa Rossa and Rapperbahn playing mainly drums and percussion's. In 2001 Nick joined Shaka as lead drummer.
