To create a look and feel that all divisions of Spectra-Physics
could agree on for their corporate site as well as incorporate marketing
and sales. With business units such as Semiconductor Lasers, Industrial
and Scientific Lasers, Commercial and OEM Lasers, each required
a different approach yet needed to be united.
ZStudio created an easy to navigate site using drop-down menus for
fast navigation, and streamlined the product search process. Due
to the three distinctly different audiences, scientific, returning
customer and new customer - each one using different search criteria's,
we developed a three-tiered system that allows customers to search
by product name, type of laser and usage or by specifications. This
system was also supported by a literature request sales form which
acts as a pre qualification form for future sales.
ZStudio has been the sole web service provider for Spectra-Physics
since 1997 and have maintained and added divisions, business units,
etc., while the company has grown and merged with other business
units to reflect the new sales strategy. The flexibility of the
web site concept and open architecture design allows for easy changes
while keeping the look and feel cohesive. Using a template driven
system with style sheets and flexible programming allows for future
growth and keep the maintenance cost-effective to the company.
