Marketing high-end audio and video systems
in a slow economy was the challenge. As Century Stereo had just
moved to their new location and designed the showroom to showcase
systems in unique setting, walk-in traffic had gone down due to
the move. On of challenges we were asked to over-come was to get
their name out to the public, showing their new facility as well
as getting more traffic to their web site.
ZStudio created a new, full-service
web site for this South Bay retail leader. Features included a rotating
"featured installation of the month" showing latest innovative
systems and installations, and developing a system that allows prospects
to design their own dream-systems on-line through a series of custom
forms and questions. While this on-line system turned into a lot
of fun for people to create their own custom systems, the real value
is reflected in the time saved by the in-house sales staff and the
knowledge of what the prospect wants up front.
Registration in local Bay Area search engines based on Century Stereo's
sales area, increased the relevant traffic to viewers on the Century
Stereo site. An educational component was added encouraging viewers
to return to the site multiple times. Custom photos by our staff
highlighted the new showroom as well as some of the special features
like the home theatre inside their retail location as well as showcased
their inventory.
Finally, a professional partnership section was added to allow architects,
real estate companies and construction companies to partner with
Century Stereo early on in the process and open up another avenue
of sales for the Bay Area retail leader.
Even in a difficult economy, custom sales
have grown significantly after the site was launched in early 2003.

"We saw significant growth in our custom installation
market this year and have had very good feedback about the utility
and design of our web site. So far, eight significant sales were
made as a result of the ‘design your own systems’ online
forms.".
